Bacon Powered Lamp, an emergency backup solution for Bigfoot Researchers

Bigfoot researching season is in full swing and if the power goes out for a long time you may want a light source that doesn't run on batteries. For serious Bigfoot researchers, we recommend you learn this valuable trick of the trade.

Follow these 5 easy steps:

Step 1:
You'll need to fry enough bacon strips to make about 1/4 cup of fat fuel.

Step 2:
Create a wick using a small stick and a strip of cotton fabric by wrapping the cotton fabric around the stick like a bandage.

Step 3:
Drop the wick into the bottom of a jar. We suggest adding some sand to the bottom of the jar to support the wick.

Step 4:
Pour in the oil. Whatever you decide to do with the bacon, the drippings are what we’re after. Pour or spoon the fat from the skillet (carefully!) into the can, shallow bowl or wide-mouth glass jar.

Step 5:

Light it up! As you can imagine, burning bacon grease can give off a slight bacon smell. It’s not entirely bad and plus you could light it outside to attract the neighborhood Sasquatch.
